I have been asking around in other forums and reading reviews but can't decide yet wether I want watch Blue Gender or wait for later

seen the trailer for " Blue Gender: The warrior " again recently which I remember seeing in 2004 which also sparked my interest back then when I didn't even know about anime " I would have been to young to watch it back then anyway "

so was wondering if anyone has watched either the sieries or the Movie and what your rough rating on them would be and which I should watch first ?

from what I hear the movie is not so dissapointing for people that have never seen the sieries but I get cautious hearing it is basically a summary of all 26 episodes in the sieries with some changes

also some review sites give it a fantastic rating and others put it down because of character development which sometimes is a big thing with me and sometimes not

thus far I feel tempted to watch the movie then the sieries after , would this be the right choice or not ?

Well I don't know Blue Gender so I got no idea if it's good or not, but what I could suggest on a general basis is that sure watch it, I mean you have nothing to loose, except maybe some time ;p- but it's good especially if it has sparked an interest.

As for the watching the movie first, I think that is the best idea as it can give you an indication if you want to watch the whole anime, but also you might enjoy it more then if you would to watch the anime first and therefore criticize it more then you normally would (even though when watching the anime you would be able to tell parts that have been changed a bit more clearly, as you know what it is in the movie and could probably remember it better then when watching the anime and criticizing vise versa). The only thing that might happen is it becomes a little bit separated, but that can be good if it's bad. But from what it seems like, the movie isn't a let down - you always get the people who over exaggerate bad things.
